Old Media To Late To the Ball Game

David Rothkopf wrote in “Ryan budget is a firing offense“:

Is it courageous to propose tax cuts but not identify a single tax expenditure to rein in? Is it courageous to target your deepest cuts on the poorest Americans, who vote in lower numbers and provide little in campaign contributions? Is it courageous to camouflage hundreds of billions in cuts for the poor and disadvantaged in broad budget categories without identifying the programmatic cuts, so that analysts, journalists, and other policymakers can’t identify the specific cuts and assess their impacts?

Is it courageous to say all these things only after the third iteration of the same Ryan budget plan after singing praise or showing false neutrality and making it sound as if it isn’t as terrible and stupid as it actually is?

Is it courageous to start putting headlines offending the sensibilities of the economically ignorant years after passively allowing this piece of subhuman garbage get by saying all kinds of fallacies about his budget and the other party’s fiscal fitness and performance?

Is it courageous for CNN’s David Rothkopf to finally get off his ass and say what should have been said two, three years ago and take to task this excuse for a shitty legislative terrorist after apologizing for his bomb throwing over and over again?

Is it courageous of CNN and other news media to do this only AFTER the GOP is weakened after a presidential election despite the fact absolutely nothing has changed in the GOP since the 2010 election?

Is it courageous of the media to parrot what the left-leaning bloggers and almost every economist in the world has been saying about this budget for years and ignoring them as insignificant and know-nothing partisans?

Go to hell, CNN.
